One of the main things I connect with in Irish culture is the music.  So let's begin with some traditional music.  

Here's what an Irish sesiun (jam session) looks like.  And yes, they usually happen in pubs -- people sitting around playing music and drinking pints.  Is there anything better?

And here's what a sesiun sounds like at my favorite Irish pub.  I adore how the chatting gradually shifts to playing music and also how it's something family oriented -- bring your kids to the pub kind of event!
